This is a drawing using a HB pencil first to sketch the outlines and shade areas which will be darker to create the shadows, then I went over the piece in a fine liner. To create detail I pressed very lightly to make the lines and creases soft and subtle. i really like how those fine lines make the drawing look almost wrinkly especially on the forehead. I also like how dark the eyes are in comparison to the rest of the face which makes the alien look demonic and quite frightening.

For this drawing i used black acrylic paint and a palette knife to create a rough, textured background which ties in with the look of the alien in the centre. I really wanted to make this drawing striking and freaky, which is why i made the alien look sort of roughly, slanted eyed and have sharp teeth.
